a difficult game, if u do not realise tt solving such a problem requires e use of binary and an understanding of nim.. to understand how to solve such problems, u can try reading Games and Representations and Game Theory.. i personally found e 2nd link more useful.. not tt i read both papers in detail.. just browsed through them.. and well, u dun strictly need to know wat nim is as long as u can find e solution from e 2 links tt i gave.. and ya.. e game starts to get boring after u get e hang of it.. i played till lvl 17 when i browser hanged on me.. one of e forums tt i read says tt everything repeats after lvl 31..

Bloons Tower Defense 3

bloons is back! this time with a vengence.. lol.. completed medium difficulty on e 1st 3 tracks and easy on e last.. also tried freeplay easy mode (beyond lvl 50).. totally gay.. so many ships.. best record so far is lvl 56..

hmmm.. so it's almost 2 months since i last blogged.. v long absence indeed.. which den probably suggest tt this post is gonna be v v long..

busy with internship lately.. quite some couple of OT along the way.. or maybe tt's kind of an understatement.. i last counted it to be around 1,100 minutes of OT.. and unclaimable at tt too.. not to say tt there weren't e slack moments.. was pretty much a boring last 2 weeks for me.. nothing much to do quite often.. guess i have some stuff which i would like to blog about at this time, but of which it is not wise to.. so i'll leave it till some other time.. if ever tt is.. haha..

been going out with e uni gang every fri during this PA.. and we played pool almost every week.. of course wat came out of it had only been increased expenses.. which isn't really something good, considering tt i've yet to treat bra for a birthday treat and my family for getting my 1st pay check..

i guess not a lot of ppl actually keep detailed accounts of their spending patterns, so maybe e following info might be interesting to know.. i've been keeping accounts since sec school (there were breaks in between when i didn't though) and having just analysed my last 12 months of expenditure, e breakdown of my expenses over e period is: 44.57% on all food costs, 34.60% on transportation, 5.87% on entertainment and ahah! 13.47% on academic costs (mainly textbooks).. spend on average $168.33/month, although recent months have seen e figure to be around $200-$250.. and tt's considering tt i dun pay my own phone bills ($15+) and tt i have meals at home quite quite often..

it's lucky tt i press e publish post button often enough, cos blogger screwed up just now when i pressed e button again.. only had to retype a few lines of stuff.. costs have been soaring these past year and in particular this few months, with oil prices hitting $146/barrel.. totally crazy.. we are just too dependent on oil.. and if i weren't wrong, blair suggested tt e world should build many many more nuclear plants (forgot e number tt he mentioned) so as to meet e energy demand.. now tt as i grow older and become more sensitive to stuff like politics, i wonder if some leaders and ministers actually think through their stuff before they speak..

as it is, e world today doesn't seem to be in a pretty good shape and i seriously won't be surprised if e next world war breaks out over soaring inflation/oil prices/worsening climate conditions during our generation.. something not v pleasant to think abt..

most probably u would have already heard abt e jarring security lapses tt happened here in e past half year.. starting with e mas selamat escape from e detention centre, followed by e sub court escape and finally e passport blunder.. admittedly i dun follow e news tt zealously, but if i'm not wrong i dun think any ppl high up in e office concerned got axed off for e events.. which if true, and in my opinion, is quite wtf, considering tt all e security lapses are quite serious breaches..

coming to more not-so-serious stuff.. have been playing dota and maple lately.. well as usual.. like duh.. managed to lvl up to 82 just a few days ago.. now somewhat getting bored with maple, cos all my characters are at stages where it's either hard to train or lazy to train.. still trying to save up for my little riding pig.. and oh ya.. pangya is shutting down.. not exactly unexpected, given tt it's business model wasn't really viable to begin with.. sad to see it go though, having played it since day 2 of its launch..

just remembered that w3 patch 1.22 was out recently.. patching w3 has always been a mini "nerve-wrecking" experience because i dread e feeling tt e patch would go all wrong and i have to reinstall e whole game.. anyway i successfully managed to patch it after all..

watched kungfu panda and don't mess with the zohan.. e former was ok.. although e fun parts of e movie have been pretty much shown in e trailers and making-of TV show.. as such there's really not much incentive for one to actually watch e real full length thing.. e latter movie is a very lame, sexually dumb show (senseless sex jokes, many boobs and wat not.. well u get e idea..).. my personal opinion is tt both movies are not worth e time watching..

i visit e stomp site once every now and den and from wat i can see, e mrt is really not a safe place to be in.. u nv know who is snapping u.. for all u know u could land up at e website for PDA or more commonly seen, not giving up your seat to needy people..

and talking about mrt, there's a "go green and take public transport" campaign lately.. quite dumb actually, if u ask me.. dunnoe which smart alek came up with this.. e person most prob nv tried taking e peak hour train or bus before.. totally gay.. e crowd tt u see on e trains.. i think it won't be too long before we match up to japan's sandwichness.. just e other day, i went to my client's place at raffles city and e morning crowd was like wtf.. looks like a whole pack of sheep being gathered up by sheep wolves.. just tt there isn't any in this case.. and i thought e situation at tanjong pagar was quite bad..

erm ok.. so my point actually is tt it would make much more sense if e infrastructure is there (ie. e circle line is completed and running (at e very least)) before embarking on such a campaign.. wat u have now is a less-than-desirable infrastructure and u're asking more ppl to come make it worse.. -.-

so today (7 july) i was reading e chinese paper and e headline splashed across e front page was proclaiming tt e above-mentioned campaign was a success.. yah yah.. give me a reason to believe tt it won't be so.. even without the campaign, rising oil prices, increased number of ERP sentries, charges and operation hours, together with rising cab fees and talk of even further hikes to e fee through a fuel surcharge, did anyone with a brain seriously think tt e number of ppl taking public transport would remain as it is? duh..

not sure y it is e case but it might very well be a spurious relationship.. as mentioned some posts ago.. i was talking to meiwen on msn.. she mentioned tt she was planning to attend a talk organised for interested teachers-to-be and was considering to be a teacher somewhere in e future.. (on a sidenote: she's going to KPMG to work.. hmmmm..) as a coincidence, another accountancy intern mate of mine expressed e same thoughts.. and including me, it's 3 accountancy students who have given serious thoughts about becoming teachers in e future..

heard a nice old song on 93.3 some days back.. it's 我想有个家 by 潘美辰.. subsequently commented to my friend tt i was putting it in replay mode and he said tt it gets a bit boring after listening to it for a few times.. i guess i like to look at a song from its different aspects.. having composed my own lyrics i think i have had a greater interest in how e songs are actually packaged.. from e way e lyrics are written, their literal, hidden, historical, cultural and societal meanings, e melody, y certain instruments were chosen, e arrangement of e music, how e mv is shot, y certain scenes are chosen for e mv, e singer's emotions and of course his voice.. there are probably some other things which i left out, but replaying e song really allows to understand and appreciate e song better.. in this case, i thought tt e lyrics were particularly well written and tt e following sentences from e song were quite meaningful and food for thought: 虽然你有家 什么也不缺

so yup.. like wat i've said earlier, have been playing much pool lately.. so i went to youtube to look for some tips on masse and jump shots.. found e following cool videos of pro shots.. Fast Larry's Two Table Pool Trick Shot and trick shot worldrecord jump shot challange.. subsequently went to try out e masse shot and short distance jump shot.. the players in e videos seriously make e shots look easier than they seem.. could manage to curve my ball a little though.. but should have tried doing it along e length of e table instead, so tt e effect can be more visible..

and yes.. to my favourite portion of e post.. on dream control.. haha.. i think i've mentioned about attempting to do e flash jump in a previous post.. or those kind of jumps tt u see in e movie jumper.. managed to do a few of those in succession.. nothing really special i think.. i still prefer simple plain old teleportation.. nevertheless, i got another 1st in dream control some time this week or last when i ran through a wall.. haha.. and e experience was rather interesting..

my 1st attempt was not well prepared.. had a short run up to e wall, only to put on my brakes when i approached it.. wasn't ready to do e stunt.. and so on e 2nd attempt, i had myself a longer run up to e wall and gain e momentum needed to pass through e wall.. in most of my stunts, e "before and after" effects are usually very distinct and only milliseconds apart, with no apparent transitions.. but during this time's particular stunt, i was passing through e wall, with my right leg already on e other side of e wall, when i looked at my surroundings.. it was actually loading! as in u know wat happens when yr laggy com loads a different picture from e current one tt u are viewing? e old picture would stay there while e new picture, bit by bit, takes over e space of e old picture.. tt was wat exactly happened in my dreams! rather bewildering stuff..

and e stunt of passing through a wall is rather exciting too.. perhaps comparable to e stunt of jumping off a building ledge.. think i might just try running through a wall again sometime soon..

with this i end e longest post in this bloggie at 1,838 words.. hopefully my PA report can be of this length also.. haiz.. dun have e slightest idea how i can even squeeze out 1,000 words for it..

ok.. this is seriously screwed.. haven happened in a long time, but blogger decided to play with me when i pressed e publish post button just now by showing me e log in screen.. now i have to re-type everything.. but luckily it's not a lot..

took a break from studying just now and played a round of dota.. pursuant to my earlier feats of not buying any boots (using centaur) and not buying any health regen items (using enchantress), i managed to end my latest game by not buying any boots and health regen items! lol.. wtf..

yup.. was using enchantress.. a look at my build: initial items - 1 sobi mask, 3 mantle of intel and 1 clarity potion (i randomed); lvl 11-13 - mystic staff; ~2 lvls later - shivas guard; end-game build (incomplete) - shivas, lothars, null tailsman, sacred relic, agies and 1 empty slot..

haha.. with only ~1.4k life, i got a frag ratio of 4:1.. even managed to survive when veno and cm ulti-ed together.. and just in case u were wondering, it wasn't a lopsided game throughout.. e opponent team actually had a better frag ratio in e early game..

was bored yesterday nite and went to play tower defence again (see earlier post for link).. managed to get 37 cannons and 1 tack tower for easy mode! haha.. e power of cannons..

saw this link in e maple forums e other day: http://www.weirdasianews.com/ do check it out! they have some really weird but nice videos.. talking about maple, saw from my sergeant's nick tt he's back to playing maple.. and he's like 2 years older than me.. haha.. adult maplers.. and he has a 77 DK and 121-to-be Bishop! wonder how these ppl chiong their characters.. quite no life actually.. lol.. so having bought e wa10 glove my next item will be e riding hog.. after which i think i'll try and get e pirate hat.. quite good stats, but e exp for e PQ for it is wtf low..

somehow managed to remember e 1st few words to e lyrics of an old song tt was played as an ending song for a HK drama some many years back.. so i went to google it and found e song.. guess it sounded better when it was played in e context of e drama.. haha.. oh ya, e song's called The colour of the night.. see sidebar for link..

remembered y my previous post was short of being e longest post yet.. because i forgot to blog about e cockroach incident.. anyway, before i continue, those animal lovers might just want to read until here.. haha.. cos e following will be a documentation of my torturous treatment of a cockroach..

seem to have an undesired affinity with cockroaches lately.. prob due to my late nites.. as i was saying, was at my com tt nite when i heard this familiar dreaded sound of fluttering wings.. turned up my head and i saw this flying cockroach.. yes.. e same one tt eluded me just some weeks before tt.. in e same fashion, it flew hazardously around my room, and determined not to let it slip through my hands this time, i went straight for e shieldtox.. as it landed on my curtains, i gave it some generous doses of e insect spray.. after yet some more doses of e spray as it tried to run away, it finally turned turtle near my bed..

i finished my game of dota and returned to it, only to discover tt it's still not dead.. so i decided to give it a last VERY GENEROUS dose of mist.. so much so tt its corpse would stick to e ground afterwards because it was too wet.. but it didn't die from e last dose of mist.. -.- so i guess shieldtox doesn't really work e way it claims to.. in e end, i did a finishing blow and ended its misery.. hate flying cockroaches.. esp since they aren't really good pilots.. freaks me out..

as u might have noticed now, i've went to label all 436 posts in e past 2 weeks.. not a lot of posts acutually, if u consider e age of e blog and e fact tt ju-zi's current blog, which is slightly younger than this, just celebrated it's 870th post not too long ago.. anyway, e labelling wasn't done rigourously and may not actually be a good link with the contents of the post.. 2 of the links, lyrics and dreams, are shown in the sidebar.. for the full list of labels, it's only available to my co-authors, who den again i realised have become dormant in their blogging activities.. this is in contrast with e rather frequent posting they used to have back when this blog started..

quite some stuff to blog about actually.. might have to stop halfway to continue with it another day.. maybe i'll just start off with e shorter stuff..

finally leveled to 80 for maple just on sunday.. took e 2x exp opportunity during the weekend to level.. quite pissed about e fact tt although i've killed like 500+ male bosses, he only dropped me one stupid morningstar.. -.-

returned back to playing pangya also in the last few days.. to take part in this event.. realised tt taking a break from games is good sometimes.. esp for pangya i guess.. managed to break one of my course records and did some nice shots during my return to the game..

had a pretty long dream yesterday.. luv having long dreams.. anyway, i did some flying as usual.. although i was struck by the fly height limit thing.. which i might just take a while here to explain a bit.. if e flight starts off from the ground (as contrasted with walking off a high ledge), there's this height limit tt u can fly to.. i believe this limit is actually a psychological limitation and as a sort of response to the limitation, i changed the scene by imagining myself to be at a high altitude above the ground.. an instant jump from e height limit to e new altitude..

the dream was a rather interesting one in tt my subconscious brought back some very old memories which i have not thought about for a very long time.. also attempted to summon someone in my dream again.. but alas.. another failure.. had tried to imagine myself pulling someone's hand from around a corner, but all tt came out of it was me grabbing air..

so i'm back to continue with e longer 2nd half of this post.. think this post may very well be longer than my longest post thus far, which just for info, has 1671 words..

perhaps in response to wat i typed earlier, e male boss decided to be kind to me by dropping me a lvl 80 theif hat.. and an under-average at tt too.. -.- wth.. and ya.. i'm talking abt maple..

have quite some opinions abt certain things lately, more of them major and some of them minor.. will be discussing a few of them below..

e results for one of my module's project was out just not too long ago.. and my friend's group, having given one of their guys a low evaluation due to his freeriding behavior, was asked to meet e tutor to clarify on e matter.. before i go on, i'll just like to add tt i've heard my friends complain about this guy X even before the project submission.. X attended like only 10% of their meetings and contribution-wise, was really far from satisfactory.. while some of e reasons for missing e meetings were valid, e rest were just plain ridiculous.. consequently, their group's evaluation of him, by right, left him with e ability to only claim 65%? of their project's grade (which was A+ by e way).. tt works out to probably a B? grade..

so back to e consultation with e tutor, it ended up tt e tutor decided to let e freerider off and let him claim e full A+ grade.. tt was despite e fact tt e other group members were upset at e manner in which e freerider presented himself at e consultation and the defences which he had brought up.. and in e end, e tutor had all of them sign something, to have them agree to let e freerider share e same grade as them and accept e tutor's judgement..

when i heard about e outcome of e consultation, i was quite fed up really.. although i wasn't in their group.. if e tutors had really meant for peer evaluation to do e stuff tt it's supposed to do, den i believe such a lop-sided evaluation of X should have expectedly resulted in him receiving a lower grade than e other group members, even though it might not actually end up being 65%.. if e tutor had at e very beginning decided tt all group members will be getting e same grade, then he could just jolly well scrap the peer evaluation.. saves everybody's time.. totally screwed man.. i think if i were in their group, i could have just stomped out of e room when e tutor asked everyone to sign tt stuff.. facade man! facade.. and for e record, e freerider has a GPA of 4.7, a 1st class!.. wat on earth is e world coming to really? more on some other screwed aspects of e uni system later in e post..

last week saw e end of e marketing project and case presentations.. i wonder if e tutor was trying to be safe or wat, but 4 of e groups received A- B+ (albeit some received A- for e project, while some received A- for e case; e project carried 20% weightage and e case 10%).. and e 5th group got B+ B+.. my clique's 2nd group (my clique was too big, so we had to separate into 2 groups) was one of e 2 tt presented during last week.. throughout their presentation, i thought it was quite good and felt tt they actually had e potential to become e top group for our class by getting a A- A (they got e A- from their project earlier on).. but it turned out not to be and they got a B+.. and e tutor's explaination didn't help to answer my doubts as to y they didn't at e very least get an A-..

seems like i've once again not have enough time to complete e post.. time for Ah Wang on Chnl 8.. haha.. will continue with part 3 later..

was actually feeling quite depressed e day before tax quiz.. stared at e paper for like hours.. e feeling tt u're fighting a lone battle really sux.. sometimes really hoped tt there was someone there to talk to..

will be traveling to hokkaido after exams with my family.. cool.. time for heavenly food, heavenly weather and heavenly service.. godlike.. drools.. haha.. looking forward to it..

as u may have noticed, i've added a few extra links at e side.. went to take a look at singapore seen e other day.. what with all tt hoo haa about stomp! the idea was quite good.. but was quite disappointed with the quality of the forum-ers tt they have there.. pretty immature lot so to speak.. of course tt is an over generalisation.. but tommorrow.sg's guys are generally more intellectual in their questioning and debating skills.. haven actually visited e actual stomp! site yet.. still a bit lost as to wat is e actual html.. haha.. guess i'll explore some other day..

this weekend had been a long one.. and finally one where there are no presentations and wat not to bother about.. even though tt was e case, didn't make much use of e 4 days.. couldn't find e motivation to study.. was just staring at e marketing lecture notes today for a long time.. although, game wise, there was some progress.. finally bought my wa10 purple wg.. quite ex though.. 38m.. -.- also leveled to 79.. currently at 79.3.. guess i should be able to get to level 80 before my PA.. still contemplating if i should aim straight for e piggy for my next item-to-buy.. or use my mesos for an overall, shoes or pc..

also managed to complete e hard level for e bloons game tt bra intro-ed me some weeks ago (link to e game is a few posts below).. haha.. and to think tt my friends got hooked on to it also.. i personally managed to complete it with 48 lifes.. believe tt i can achieve a perfect score for hard.. was due to carelessness tt i lost e 2 lifes..

realised tt i don't have much contact, probably negligible, and sad to say, with girls this sem.. unlike e previous sems, i'm not in a i'm-e-only-guy-in-e-group situation this time round.. which i think is really bad for my social life (erm not because of not being in tt kinda situation, but rather a lack of contact with girls).. hopefully next sem will change for e better.. now i'm wondering if any of my current teammates are looking at this post.. lol.. shhh..

was feeling rather bored e other day.. and i went to take a look at cedar pri's webpage.. looked v diff from e last time i visited it.. somehow feel tt they have cut down on e contents.. but e video was good though.. was a bit surprised to find tt there's quite a number of malay and indian teachers there.. and 苏老师 is still teaching! after so long! and especially since e majority of my pri and sec school teachers have retired or moved on with e next phase of their life.. 2 other teachers tt r still teaching at cedar are Mr Sim and Mrs Tang.. knew tt 苏老师 was already an experienced teacher then.. but didn't know tt she had already taught for 31 years! really great teacher.. i guess with e leaving of e experienced teachers after my generation, e results churned out by cedar has been on e decline.. as told by my cousin.. hopefully with a few more years, e current batch of teachers would have become more experienced and would bring cedar to greater heights..

a little short post before i do some real reading.. and talking about readings, this sem is a disaster of sorts for someone like me who nv has much patience in reading stuff.. just recapping e most serious stuff tt i've read b4 probably explains it all.. i've yet to read e full version of any english classic tales (like e black beauty), only read a full version of one chinese classic (water margins) and some mathematics books (history of maths kinda books included.. haha.. yeah..).. so basically tt's all.. and to think tt 3 out of 5 modules this sem has tons of readings to do (think OB x 3).. geez..

i guess this sem is better than e last (in e non-academic sense).. got to hang out more with this bunch of guys during lectures and watever free time we may have.. quite a huge group i say.. 8 ppl to be exact.. including me..

was talking to bra on msn e other day, to find out tt e shoes and socks affair was over.. i guess if A noes tt B likes A, then it would do all parties good if A told B tt A doesn't like B early on (if tt's e case).. procrastination in love is a cruel thing..

fm make-up lesson today. attended by prob only slightly more than half e class.. guess e rest figured tt e oppotunity cost of attending it was too high for them..

pangya and dota. i think my skills r getting rusty.. pretty rusty.. and pangya just continued it's crazy rate of patching.. wat can i say.. just hope they can maintain it.. silvia cannon is a killer.. prob will only return to play it's 18 holes when i reach 250y.. which is like nv going to happen.. discovered some interesting commands for e ai map for dota.. pa with buriza and 5 divine = godly.. 5800+ dmg.. first tower down in 4 hits.. enough said..

dreams. had a spate of dream control just a few weeks ago.. feel great to have such a streak after a long period of non-dream control.. and i now noe tt e scientific study of dreams is called oneirology..

i think i'll continue this post some other time.. getting late.. time to catch some winks.. and hopefully, catch a controlled dream.. yeah.. wish me luck..

dreams. found a lot of info on lucid dreaming on wikipedia.. they even have a wiki on it.. and in this particular section under dream control, they even teach u how to do certain stunts in yr dream.. for example, for flying, they teach u e different methods of flying, such as:

-"Swimming" through the air. Moving one's body as if swimming, through propel oneself through the air. May be physically exhausting, however.

-Flying like a bird: flapping one's arms/wings serves to propel oneself through the air. (Note: sometimes takes painfully long to gain altitude--not recomended for quick escapes)

-Superman/Neo-style: very high-speed flying, without any effort to speak of. Superman style involves one of the arms outstretched like that of the famous do-gooder, and the Neo style involves both arms lying straight, downwards towards the hips.

had a couple of firsts in my dream control experience in this year, particularly e last few months.. one was e conducting of a reality check.. seriously nv expected myself to do one.. usually i would be very confident of e fact tt i noe tt i am dreaming.. but i guess tt time my confidence level wasn't too high.. after all, e stunt tt i was going to try out after performing e reality check was a dangerous one.. so wat was it? well.. jumping off a building.. yeap.. tt was my 2nd time tt i did tt in my dream.. totally adrenaline pumping experience, even though it was only in a dream.. anyway, e reality check tt i did was to pinch myself and feel no pain.. haha..

but.. but, who was to guess tt i did something even more crazy in a later dream? i did a few building jumps, all in e same dream.. kinda felt like those extreme-sports free-running ppl.. no barriers.. yeah man..

another first came in me flying to this person's house to look for e person.. sadly and irritating enough, e person was not at home.. argh!!! i think of all e possible stunts tt can be done in a dream, my weakest has got to be summoning objects and people.. i totally sux at it.. lol..

now wat i have in mind for my next dream control is pretty crazy and most likely to fail.. i'm going to try to bring someone from his dream into my dream.. ya.. u nv read wrongly.. e idea actually came about some years ago and considering tt i have done just about any stunt tt my puny mind can come up with, i think i'll do this for a change.. be on e lookout to see my notice on e failed attempt.. lol..

of course to do wat i stated above, i need to find other ways to meet up with e person in e first place.. currently thinking of calling e person up with my hp in e dream, then arranging to meet at a particular place..

uncontrolled junction. there's this uncontrolled junction ie. trafficlight-less junction some distance from my hall.. between e art school and hall 2.. wasn't really surprised to see tt an accident had happened there while i was walking to my tutorial venue this morning.. just don't understand which stupid guy refuse to install traffic lights there.. it's not as if traffic flow is low at tt junction, so as to warrant it being devoid of traffic lights.. also, e recently added plants and barriers just only served to further inconvenience jaywalkers, although not to e point tt they will be obedient and start using e not-so-nearby zebra crossings.. i seriously think whoever has e power to install traffic lights there but did not do so, have no brains..

IT quiz. just completed it today.. had a sinking feeling when i saw my results on e screen.. got a 75/100 when e average was 78.2.. quite demoralising.. maybe it so just happened tt i got a more difficult set of questions.. bleh.. anyway, it seemed as though e tutor talked too much for once.. and for nobody's good.. he said tt it takes someone spectacular to fail e quiz.. which as it happened, was wat 2 or 3 students did.. and it was e first time tt anyone failed e quiz..

MAS801. just pray tt e mid-term test for this elective tml would end up better.. gotta go off now and start studying for it..

wolfenstein 3d walkthrough, hall application results(expired webbie)

one week gone by without any driving lessons... resuming lessons e coming week... suddenly had e urge to play back those classic games of yester days... so i went to download wolfenstein castle 3D... one of e earliest FPS tt existed but despite tt fact, is quite a well done game for it's generation... and it's still e good old graphics, sound and game tt i played a decade ago... e boss's one tough guy to beat... at e 2nd easiest difficulty, i'm having trouble killing him... haha...

another great game of yester day, atomic bomberman, is one which provides endless hours of fun... lol... still can remember e times when we played it during computer lessons back in cchs... simple gameplay but addictive... downloaded e demo but it was very problematic... saying wat software had expired... haiz... really liked e game...

e worms series was another batch of great games... downloaded e worms armageddon demo only to discover tt after playing around with e game settings and team creation, i had time for just 1/10 th of a game before e trial time ran out... wasted my time downloading e demo... -.-

back to driving, i'll be learning u-turn pretty soon... probably on tues or wed... wonder how i'll fare... haha... just finished learning blindspot last lesson...

learnt from brandon tt his friend had also intended to join e NBS camp but was not notified of e foc briefing by e commitee, just like me... turns out tt e NBS foc is full... but e thing tt pissed me off was tt e commitee didn't have e decency to notify those tt had applied for e foc but failed to be part of it... alternatively they could have included, somwhere in e pamphlet, e point tt e situation of e foc reaching max capacity might happen... seriously no decency shown by e commitee...

and i'm starting to wonder if it's in e culture of NTU for such things to happen... 15 more days to start of school and i still do not noe which hall i'm allocated to... e foc mail sent by e student union arrived much later compared to nus (not sure about smu)... basically e effiency of NTU and of anything related to it, up till this moment, can be summarised in one word: sux

yup... finally blogging again... can't wait for uni to start... and ntu has at last made up it's mind to send e freshmen camp phamplets to us... but, NBS FOC, being one of e bigger focs decided to be dua3 pai2 and send their phamplet separately from e rest and a few days later too... -.- nevertheless, i think i'm going for e NBS FOC... well, not tt someone helped me made up my mind by saying tt if i didn't go for it, i would most prob end up being alone in lectures, tutorials and lunch breaks... to think tt she stressed it in bold somemore... -.-

tt made me think back to e orientation camp tt i had in jc and wat good came out of it... hmmm... anyway, i really didn't quite like wat i saw for e foreword of NBS FOC's chairman... looked so fake and making friendships forged in uni sound so transient... plain sad...

went to take a look at tomorrow.sg some days ago and saw this article on e recruitment of native speakers... and i went on to ponder on some other issues... if game forums are anything to go by, i think singaporean kids are in for a tough time in e future... wide usage of singlish and lack of impetus in constructing grammatically sound sentences... not tt i'm against e use of singlish... for i use it myself... but i think tt at e v least they should develop e habit of making their sentences grammatically sound...

hmmm... was looking at this photo of someone wearing a bareback dress and i thought tt bareback dresses looked just like a nice glam apron... weird thought... lol...

tty introduced me to this singaporean teenage website http://thewicked.sgblogging.com some days back... it's a pretty interesting puzzle... if u have e time, u could have a try at e questions... wicked junior is do-able and i took abt 4.5hrs to complete it... if u have need help, u could try e forums... the clues provided there are v helpful... but a word a caution: wicked junior 1 is pretty tough a question for warming up to e puzzle... but dun give up! btw, some of e questions are quite lame though... e original wicked puzzle on the other hand, requires a certain amt of computer knowledge... i'm on question 18 currently and taking a break...

have been playing a lot of DOTA lately... practically twice every wk... O.o that's not exactly v healthy financially... but still it's within control... yeah... and the games are getting looooooooonger... so much looooooooonger... played a 106min game not just too long ago... end game team frag ratio was a crappily unbelievable 64-69... and tty just played a 120+min game... crap...

someone recently told me tt i have idealistc views... and looks like some of my friends also had some problems with idealistic views vs reality... er hmmm... think i shall stop here for the moment... my mind aint exactly starting to think cohesively... shall go to sleep soon... zzz...

missed bus 158 yet again the other day, so decided to take a short walk from the la salle bus stop to the bus stop opp tks... well, at least i thought tt it was a short walk... my memory must have been playing tricks on me... so i took the 'short' walk, bypassing cchs in the process... one thing tt struck me was the pretty obvious lack of maintainence of the school... the trees tt lined the fence behind the new classroom block had overgrown and started it's invasion of the nearby pavement...

the only real chance tt i had trying to see if the school had changed much only came at the tennis court, where there was no trees... haiz... the school maintainence really looks bad...

to bra: about wat u asked me... basically u need to achieve something in 5 different sectors in order to get the award... wat i plan to do, tentively, is something like this...

for service, the requirement is 60 hours spread over a period of 12 months, which works out to 5hrs per month... which is not diff to achieve... a flag day or home visit would be more than enough to cover the hours... plan to start on this sector as soon as i sign up, so tt it won't eat too much into uni...

for adventurous journey, the requirement is four days out, including three nights in an unfamiliar setting, including at least 32 hours of effort and activity... plan to do this in uni, when i join odac... haha... a mountain climbing expedition should do the job...

for skills, the requirement is 18 months... plan to study for JLPT level 3 in uni.... alternative could be learning to drive... but 18 months might seem a bit long for driving...

for physical recreation, it's 40 hours over 12 weeks... this is the most headachy sector... plan to see if any community centres offer a intro course tt is tt long... though i doubt so... alternative is to join a sports club... tentative sport in mind -- hockey... haha...

for residental project, the requirement is tt participants are required to undertake or initiate a project that will serve or have a beneficial impact on a community... my army buddy who introduced me to nyaa and who has already signed up, suggested tt we find an external organisation tt does overseas CIP... he apparently already found one...

so now the thing is if i want to sign up, it is best to do it asap... oh ya, there is one general requirement... all this must be done b4 u reach 25 years old...
