hmmm.. so it's almost 2 months since i last blogged.. v long absence indeed.. which den probably suggest tt this post is gonna be v v long..

busy with internship lately.. quite some couple of OT along the way.. or maybe tt's kind of an understatement.. i last counted it to be around 1,100 minutes of OT.. and unclaimable at tt too.. not to say tt there weren't e slack moments.. was pretty much a boring last 2 weeks for me.. nothing much to do quite often.. guess i have some stuff which i would like to blog about at this time, but of which it is not wise to.. so i'll leave it till some other time.. if ever tt is.. haha..

been going out with e uni gang every fri during this PA.. and we played pool almost every week.. of course wat came out of it had only been increased expenses.. which isn't really something good, considering tt i've yet to treat bra for a birthday treat and my family for getting my 1st pay check..

i guess not a lot of ppl actually keep detailed accounts of their spending patterns, so maybe e following info might be interesting to know.. i've been keeping accounts since sec school (there were breaks in between when i didn't though) and having just analysed my last 12 months of expenditure, e breakdown of my expenses over e period is: 44.57% on all food costs, 34.60% on transportation, 5.87% on entertainment and ahah! 13.47% on academic costs (mainly textbooks).. spend on average $168.33/month, although recent months have seen e figure to be around $200-$250.. and tt's considering tt i dun pay my own phone bills ($15+) and tt i have meals at home quite quite often..

it's lucky tt i press e publish post button often enough, cos blogger screwed up just now when i pressed e button again.. only had to retype a few lines of stuff.. costs have been soaring these past year and in particular this few months, with oil prices hitting $146/barrel.. totally crazy.. we are just too dependent on oil.. and if i weren't wrong, blair suggested tt e world should build many many more nuclear plants (forgot e number tt he mentioned) so as to meet e energy demand.. now tt as i grow older and become more sensitive to stuff like politics, i wonder if some leaders and ministers actually think through their stuff before they speak..

as it is, e world today doesn't seem to be in a pretty good shape and i seriously won't be surprised if e next world war breaks out over soaring inflation/oil prices/worsening climate conditions during our generation.. something not v pleasant to think abt..

most probably u would have already heard abt e jarring security lapses tt happened here in e past half year.. starting with e mas selamat escape from e detention centre, followed by e sub court escape and finally e passport blunder.. admittedly i dun follow e news tt zealously, but if i'm not wrong i dun think any ppl high up in e office concerned got axed off for e events.. which if true, and in my opinion, is quite wtf, considering tt all e security lapses are quite serious breaches..

coming to more not-so-serious stuff.. have been playing dota and maple lately.. well as usual.. like duh.. managed to lvl up to 82 just a few days ago.. now somewhat getting bored with maple, cos all my characters are at stages where it's either hard to train or lazy to train.. still trying to save up for my little riding pig.. and oh ya.. pangya is shutting down.. not exactly unexpected, given tt it's business model wasn't really viable to begin with.. sad to see it go though, having played it since day 2 of its launch..

just remembered that w3 patch 1.22 was out recently.. patching w3 has always been a mini "nerve-wrecking" experience because i dread e feeling tt e patch would go all wrong and i have to reinstall e whole game.. anyway i successfully managed to patch it after all..

watched kungfu panda and don't mess with the zohan.. e former was ok.. although e fun parts of e movie have been pretty much shown in e trailers and making-of TV show.. as such there's really not much incentive for one to actually watch e real full length thing.. e latter movie is a very lame, sexually dumb show (senseless sex jokes, many boobs and wat not.. well u get e idea..).. my personal opinion is tt both movies are not worth e time watching..

i visit e stomp site once every now and den and from wat i can see, e mrt is really not a safe place to be in.. u nv know who is snapping u.. for all u know u could land up at e website for PDA or more commonly seen, not giving up your seat to needy people..

and talking about mrt, there's a "go green and take public transport" campaign lately.. quite dumb actually, if u ask me.. dunnoe which smart alek came up with this.. e person most prob nv tried taking e peak hour train or bus before.. totally gay.. e crowd tt u see on e trains.. i think it won't be too long before we match up to japan's sandwichness.. just e other day, i went to my client's place at raffles city and e morning crowd was like wtf.. looks like a whole pack of sheep being gathered up by sheep wolves.. just tt there isn't any in this case.. and i thought e situation at tanjong pagar was quite bad..

erm ok.. so my point actually is tt it would make much more sense if e infrastructure is there (ie. e circle line is completed and running (at e very least)) before embarking on such a campaign.. wat u have now is a less-than-desirable infrastructure and u're asking more ppl to come make it worse.. -.-

so today (7 july) i was reading e chinese paper and e headline splashed across e front page was proclaiming tt e above-mentioned campaign was a success.. yah yah.. give me a reason to believe tt it won't be so.. even without the campaign, rising oil prices, increased number of ERP sentries, charges and operation hours, together with rising cab fees and talk of even further hikes to e fee through a fuel surcharge, did anyone with a brain seriously think tt e number of ppl taking public transport would remain as it is? duh..

not sure y it is e case but it might very well be a spurious relationship.. as mentioned some posts ago.. i was talking to meiwen on msn.. she mentioned tt she was planning to attend a talk organised for interested teachers-to-be and was considering to be a teacher somewhere in e future.. (on a sidenote: she's going to KPMG to work.. hmmmm..) as a coincidence, another accountancy intern mate of mine expressed e same thoughts.. and including me, it's 3 accountancy students who have given serious thoughts about becoming teachers in e future..

heard a nice old song on 93.3 some days back.. it's 我想有个家 by 潘美辰.. subsequently commented to my friend tt i was putting it in replay mode and he said tt it gets a bit boring after listening to it for a few times.. i guess i like to look at a song from its different aspects.. having composed my own lyrics i think i have had a greater interest in how e songs are actually packaged.. from e way e lyrics are written, their literal, hidden, historical, cultural and societal meanings, e melody, y certain instruments were chosen, e arrangement of e music, how e mv is shot, y certain scenes are chosen for e mv, e singer's emotions and of course his voice.. there are probably some other things which i left out, but replaying e song really allows to understand and appreciate e song better.. in this case, i thought tt e lyrics were particularly well written and tt e following sentences from e song were quite meaningful and food for thought: 虽然你有家 什么也不缺

so yup.. like wat i've said earlier, have been playing much pool lately.. so i went to youtube to look for some tips on masse and jump shots.. found e following cool videos of pro shots.. Fast Larry's Two Table Pool Trick Shot and trick shot worldrecord jump shot challange.. subsequently went to try out e masse shot and short distance jump shot.. the players in e videos seriously make e shots look easier than they seem.. could manage to curve my ball a little though.. but should have tried doing it along e length of e table instead, so tt e effect can be more visible..

and yes.. to my favourite portion of e post.. on dream control.. haha.. i think i've mentioned about attempting to do e flash jump in a previous post.. or those kind of jumps tt u see in e movie jumper.. managed to do a few of those in succession.. nothing really special i think.. i still prefer simple plain old teleportation.. nevertheless, i got another 1st in dream control some time this week or last when i ran through a wall.. haha.. and e experience was rather interesting..

my 1st attempt was not well prepared.. had a short run up to e wall, only to put on my brakes when i approached it.. wasn't ready to do e stunt.. and so on e 2nd attempt, i had myself a longer run up to e wall and gain e momentum needed to pass through e wall.. in most of my stunts, e "before and after" effects are usually very distinct and only milliseconds apart, with no apparent transitions.. but during this time's particular stunt, i was passing through e wall, with my right leg already on e other side of e wall, when i looked at my surroundings.. it was actually loading! as in u know wat happens when yr laggy com loads a different picture from e current one tt u are viewing? e old picture would stay there while e new picture, bit by bit, takes over e space of e old picture.. tt was wat exactly happened in my dreams! rather bewildering stuff..

and e stunt of passing through a wall is rather exciting too.. perhaps comparable to e stunt of jumping off a building ledge.. think i might just try running through a wall again sometime soon..

with this i end e longest post in this bloggie at 1,838 words.. hopefully my PA report can be of this length also.. haiz.. dun have e slightest idea how i can even squeeze out 1,000 words for it..

watched jumper today.. e idea was ok.. but e plot wasn't really decently developed.. after seeing e movie i thought it had some similarity to how i do things in my dreams, esp with respect to teleporting.. a clear image of yr destination is important.. as is e visualization of e end result of a stunt tt one does in a dream, in order for e stunt to be successful.. actually i guess important is a bit of an understatement.. probably more of critical.. not sure if i'm able to do multiple consecutive jumps/teleport in my dreams.. and my teleports are actually non-violent.. unlike e jumps in e movie.. think i might wanna try e multiple consecutive jump sometime..

was bathing just now when i thought about e concepts of consciousness, thought and will.. i guess e majority of us take those stuff for granted.. wat does it mean to be conscious? how powerful is our subconsciousness in influencing our behaviour? wat is it to think? to have tt voice in yr head reading out loud these very words tt u r reading now? how strong is yr will, exactly?

after 13 years of dream control, i have understood those concepts better and also seen how powerful they really are.. e mind is really an amazing thing..

can't belief i went to watch aquamarine... so girlish... pengz... another 'great' movie seen... lol...

think i must have left bra quite puzzled over who e main character for my 4th song is... haha... well, u'll noe when it comes out in due course...

and yes!!! i passed my basic theory! so easy... -.- final theory's on 12 june... and not sure if it's cdc website tt screwed up... there's no more lessons available for booking in june!!! nooooooooo~ how can like tt...

k, shall blog about my trip to genting tt time... so unfortunately, like e previous visit there, i didn't get to enjoy e outdoor theme park... sad... anyway looking at how genting has changed over e years, i think it still has a long way to go... when can it be anything like how disneyland is organised and customer-oriented? even if it's anything vaguely similar... e poor maintainence of e games/theme park hasn't much changed... and nooooooooo~ e fortune telling machine wasn't there! if u remember, there was this machine where u put yr coin in and this jap doll will enter a house, pick up a rolled-up piece of paper and drop it into e outlet for u to read... had wanted to have my fortune read again (since it was pretty accurate e previous time), but so sad tt it's gone...

however e main highlight of e trip was my 1st entry into e casino! huge place... grand, lavish, crowded, loud and jackpots aplenty... u'll find practically all sorts of gambling games there. esp those tt involve cards... particularly amusing was e digital roulette... there was this centrally placed roulette surrounded by kiosks where punters could digitally place their bets... and so at e beginning of each round, u'll see e digital roulette betting table suddenly ballooning up with all sorts of coloured chips...

looking at e amount of money tt ppl bet and e prizes listed in e jackpot's jackpot, u can only marvel at e seriousness of e whole gambling business and how some ppl will just bet tt one penny to try out their luck... u can get engrossed even without actually playing... tt's how dangerous a casino can be...

and yap, e casino runs 24/7/365... there's no clocks and no direction signs to e exits... so u won't noe wat time of e day it actually was... and e lack of direction signs acts as a way of luring u to play another round as u figure out yr way out of e casino...

21... can watch RA movies, go into casinos, but no voting and no progress package... wth...

lol... yap... went to treat lei^3 to see brokeback mountain today, on his 21st b'day... well, the 1st R21 movie for the both of us... how should i put it... hmmm... the newspapers' reviews for e movie is like: !!! and my review for e movie is like: ??? e movie didn't like come across to me... and it was like logically flawed, i would say... in comparison e other alternative movies (in my own words... alternative as in those non-blockbluster/romance/comedy or aka film festival kinda movie)... brokeback mountain isn't e best tt i've watched... nothing quite like Munich, Be With Me or Life is Beautiful...

oh ya... i almost forgot about something interesting tt happened in my recent blog absence... my unit got to take part in the upcoming army recruitment advertisement... by supplying e extras... and i was one of them... lol... well, not exactly sure if u'll get to see my face on tv (i'm quite sceptical...)... but anyways, the ad is gonna be airing on 31st march... so watch out!

and yes yes... mr tty... yr face appeared on e centrefold of this month's pioneer magazine... lol... actually nothing much... it's a photo showing e recent malaysian agong visit and yr crew ppl... well, i might take a photo of it and paste it on e blog for u to see... lol...

went out with bra and tty yesterdae... went to lido to catch a movie... my radar must have been spoilt (as usual), as i almost missed sighting yixiang and his gf and walking past them if not for tty and bra alerting me...

watched amityville horror... filled with horror scenes from pretty much the beginning till the very end... a short movie... a so-so show...

pretty much undecided on wat to do after the movie... went to esplanade in the end... never been inside there b4, so went there to see see look look... then drifted to marina south, where tty suggested conducting a survey to see where the guy in a couple stand, whether on the left or on the right... so after viewing 36 couples, we biasly concluded tt guys tend to stand on the left side... left:right = 24:12... prof tty then suggested tt it's because guys use their master hand to hold the girl's hand... lol... maybe we can conduct another survey to verify tt...

to ju-zi: glad tt u like the song too! about the outing on next sun, see how first lo... u want a simple dinner only or smth else? was wondering if we could go canoeing or wat... yes!!! haven done tt for some time liao...

in camp rite now, doing guard duty on a beautiful sunday... haiz... just in case u're wondering, i'm jotting (correct spelling?) down my thoughs on this foolscap paper and posting the msg when i'm free (which is now...)... basically, if u can decipher wat i mean in the previous sentence, well and good.. suffering from haphazard thoughts running though my mind and utter incohesiveness... period.

fret not if u don't understand wat i've wrote so far... sometimes i also dun understand... stumbled upon this diary entry tt i made in '99... it was part of a ditched attempt at writing a diary... anyway, i was surprised to see a sentence tt i wrote... i was like: "did i really write tt?"... looking at things in retrospect sometimes (or most of the time) bring up new perspectives, new understandings on your personal self... on the differences on how the you then perceive yrself to be then and how the present you perceive yrself to be then...

geez... my english is really getting horrendous... will try to use more proper english... watched the eye 10 some time ago... have been a while since i watched horror movies... to quote tty (or is it brandon): "this show looks more like a horror comedy"... lame jokes start appearing early in the movie and continue to make their presence thoughout the show... a watchable show... arhhh......... just remembered tt movie prices are going up... why? $9.50 for a wkend show? tt's so ex!and it's not like $8.50 was cheap in the 1st place... this can only mean tt it'll be less movies for me...

had this weird dream some days back... i actually had a dream within a dream... not common tt i have such dreams... only happened to me once before... couldn't remember wat i dreamt in the dream within dream though... but tt wasn't important, wat is important was wat happened in the dream itself...

been out of action for some time... cos of some internet connection problem... but finally got it fixed up and running...

went for range on fri... guess wat? i'm a MARKSMAN!!! lamez... think it's because the range this time round was much easier than last year's... anyway, a lot of other ppl also got the $200 and marksman badge... absolutely tiring... didn't have a gd sleep for 44hrs... wonder if any of my peeps spotted me with eyebags on yesterday's movie outing...

had a lot of blog reading to catch up on... anyway, downloading the maple story all over again... thanks to a stupid corrupted file... and the downloading now is taking like ages...

to ju-zi: hey... so sorry for always changing the outing details and making u rush... just unlucky tt u always watch sucky movies when u go out with us... haha... yeah... we should try out something new for our next outing... but had been thinking for a long time liao... i guess tt there's really not much to do on this small island... or maybe there is, but because we are too unhip or unresourceful enough to noe of any fun and cheap trills to spend away the wkend...

had a gathering last sat ie. new year's day... meiju, emu, tty, bra and hh came to my house... found smth amiss when i went to fetch ju-zi and bra from the mrt station... a very indiscreet effort by bra carrying a huge plastic bag tt aroused my suspicion... lolz... cos we always meet up empty handed, so the 'luggage' naturally seemed v out of place... but didn't think of it as being a birthdae cake until bra asked me if there was space in my fridge... haha...

Thanx!!! thank you guys for helping me to celebrate my birthdae... it was the 1st time tt my friends bought me a birthdae cake and sang me a birthdae song... i was so touched... thanx!!! : )

so we talked, played dai dee and bridge and watched princess diaries 2 tt dae... wat a way to start the new year!!! thought i would have the best birthdae to date... but...

i booked out late yesterdae night, only to reach home to spent 3min 45sec of my birthdae at home... tt must been the least time i spent at home, for any of the birthdaes tt i have had... and to think tt i might have not been able to book out yesterdae at all... all thanks to the CO COC (commanding officer change of command) parade and dinner...

this week was a terrible week... the discipline of my platoon is starting to piss me to my limits... an incompetent ic as well as some indecisive, non power-exerting sergeants and platoon mates who act like some big f just because they think they are some '2nd year soldier'... tt wasn't the end of my misery...

had tried to apply for off on my b'dae, only to find at a late time tt it was rejected... wanted to ask a friend out and watch a movie, have a meal... just any friend who might be free, to spend my b'dae with me... so i had msg-ed this friend and asked if she was free... (i'm tired of having to answer questions tt constantly ask me who the shes in my blog refer to, ya... so dun ask)... she wasn't free in the beginning, but after i got to know tt my off wasn't approved, she became free... u get wat i'm talking about?

so i spent fri night, my b'dae, in camp till v late... and tml, sun, my mother's b'dae, i'm going back to do a 24h guard duty... and my foot rot has just spread to my right feet, at the mean time getting worse on my left feet... we got to know tt we'll be doing 4 ATM, when they told us previously tt we won't be doing anything... sucky week... totally sucky...
