anyway just for yr info, if u encounter a similar problem, go and dl mcrepair at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=http://support.microsoft.com:80/support/kb/articles/q259/7/37.asp&NoWebContent=1
after dl-ing it, install the program and it should fix the problem...
