just in case u haven noticed... i finished the post tt i typed yesterdae...

Tuesday, December 30, 2003

the one significant thing tt i actually remember of this year is my meetings with melissa... it was not long after i dropped bio tt i discovered she had done the same too... albeit just wks b4 me in dec... oh... before i go any further... melissa is not she... she is lynda (the girl tt u see in the photo tt tty posted)... any 'she' hereafter (for this post only), refers to melissa...

still remembered tt i was pretty unsatisfied with the relationships tt i were in at tt time... most of time in school was spent with wei chang... didn't really had have any decent interaction with any girl... so i asked if melissa would mind spending the free periods during the bio lects with me... was actually quite surprised tt she agreed...

guess i didn't put it across to her clearly in the first place tt i was not dating her... afterall she had had an-all girls education b4 stepping into TJ and it seemed tt it was the first bgr tt she gotten herself in... it became known to me sometime in the middle of the year tt she had came to have a liking on me... just hoped tt she hadn't commited too much into our relationship... cos it must have hurt otherwise, to noe tt the person tt u like likes someone else...

tt kind of feeling i understand all too well... and i ticked myself off for not trying to prevent such a scenario happening on her... for the first time, i had unwitting caused hurt to a girl...
Inevitable Death:
This year i have heard of many cases of pple dying very unexpectedly. For instance, my classmate, JJ's father passed away just like that. My grandma passed away too. Den in the showbiz, came along the suicide of Leslie Cheung and the demise of both "Blacky" Ke Shou Liang and Anita Mui... Haiz, guess it is the darkest time in the history pages of Chinese showbiz.

Reflections:
Well, guess everyone noes what am i driving at...Life and death is unexpected and i can hear some pple uttering that i am very cliched... Yah right, cliched... That means everyone has known this and heard this many times. BUT SO WHAT? There are still fools who take things for granted, not appreciating the things around them nor cherishing anything that is given to them. Now ,everynight when i sleep, i am always thinking, will i be able to get up tommorrow? Or when i am walking on the road, i was thinking will i get hit by a car or whatever...
I am not being paranoid, but just being aware so that i will be mentally prepared for any unexpected changes, not like some who only noe how to curse and swear at Heaven for making fun at them... To put it crudely, these pple deserve no sympathy at all

Appearance:
I mentioned this b4 about appearances getting more & more westernised or "un-Asian"...

Reflections:
I have said what i wanted to say in my previous post.

Mask:
I am utterly disappointed with most of my JC friends that i have made... Strangely, my real good friends in Jc are girls... Haiz, i realised that my so called good male friends are wearing masks or they had a very scary side which gives me the creeps... I duno why... Sad...

Reflections:
I have to be more cautious in my choice of friends from now onwards... Chinese saying: the mind of humans are ever hard to predict...
Sometimes, i feel shameful of our own human race. Like in the movie : The Matrix Revolutions had this last scene where the Oracle and the Architect were making a deal on the freedom of the humans out of the system.
The Oracle asked, "Do you keep your word?"
The Architect replied, "Of course! What do u think i am? HUMAN??"
Sad case, humans are so evil...

Speaking Chinese:
Came across a few Chinese Singaporeans who declined speaking mandarin.. What the heck? Why dun speak Chinese? Just becos Singapore government made English an offcial 1st language, so does it mean we have to speak English at all times? This is utter nonsense and excuse given by LAZY CHINESE SINGAPOREANS!!! There was this time i was at the chinese section of Kinoukuniya looking for books. Den i heard some bloody young chinese girls were toking. One of them asked:"Why are we in this section? So CHEEENA..."
What the hell is cheena? I demanded explanation. Someone told me it meant old-fashioned.. and i felt like giving that guy a punch so hard that he could just die on the spot. Chinese is old-fashioned... these 3 words really hurt me as a Chinese. Why despise ur heritage? U THINK THOSE BLOODY WESTERNS ARE TRENDY AND COOL ISSIT? Those who despise their own heritage are those with no self-esteem and dignity at all. Western bootlickers and Chinese traitors!!

Ps: I just want to tell some of those SINGAPOREANS that: there are some COOL AND TRENDY westerners are learning OLD-FASHIONED and CHEENA CHINESE okay!!!

Reflections:
Nothing to say... cos i am so hot up whenever i touch on this issue.
2003... hmmm... wat events happened to me personally this year? 7 jan... my birthday... decided to drop bio on tt dae... can't remember wat exactly the final straw was which led to ths decision... but felt tt for once, i didn't gave a subject the respect tt it deserved... bio was always the last subject tt i studied for when it came to exam time...

there was also this memory thingy... there was a lot of stuff to memorise... i just grew tired of trying to commit the notes to memory... i must say tt these 2 years have been the most screwed up years in my whole education...

well, can't really remember wat happened to me academically the 1st 6 months of this year... but everything was to climax at the period b4 the 'A's... had been having these pretty wild mood swings inside me for these 2 years... but they became much more frequent as the 'A's neared... i can still somewhat recall the utter resentment i felt about the exam... which directly led to me doing what i did... (see my earlier posts during the 'A's exam period)
hey bra and tty, join in and type yr reflections for this year...

oh great... dunnoe what the hell is wrong but i've violated their terms of service again... can't be copyright problems, cause i took those photos... i have the copyrights... then again those photos are not explicit, vulgar or watsoever... just dun understand y... guess those geeks at angelfire.com has nothing better to do...

Saturday, December 27, 2003

great... my webpage just got struck off for violation of angelfire's tems of sevice? wth? i look at the terms and dun see how i've violated it... anyway, should be reloading the photos again pretty soon...
oi brandon, stop contradicting yrself! u already said tt it's a tit for tat... so why the 'dun understand'???
hmmm... b4 i answer any of blandon's questions... STOP SPAMMING LAR YOU TWO!!! er hmmm... to answer tty's question 1st... sometimes or should i say quite a lot of times you ask the question at the wrong time... if you ask the question over the phone, let's say the q is whether i like her or not, you dun expect me to answer: yes i like her rite?

as in, my phone is in the living room, it is plugged into a socket, i dun have yr luxury of holing yrself in a room and be free of eavesdroppers... it'll be a headache if my parents start asking me to explain the things tt i say over the phone... if u get what i'm talking about...

another reason is tt i feel more comfortable talking here... there is this mentality ingrained in me which tells me tt not many ppl listen to the things tt i say and tt's y i tend to keep to myself when amongst a group of ppl... let's just say tt time and again the events tt happen have re-affirmed this mentality of mine...

Its amusing how, lately, every entry which contain references to !@#&^ would also contain a specific adjective which meant someone was pleasing to the eye, other than exuding an nice body aroma and being extraordinarily attractive. Of course, the word also describes the non-physical characteristics one possesses, which in most cases can make even the most grotesque person turn into a drop dead gorgeous babe or a saliva-inducing hunk. Not to say that !@#&^ is ugly. I just got carried off while trying to explain the adjective in question. In fact, she is pleasant looking; above average I would say.

I fully comprehend the misery that you are going too. Her presence is more than enough, but it must had pained you to have to suffer the thought of she being just right in front of you yet is impossibly far out of your reach. No, maybe not. Her absence would have triggered that kind of yearning. During her absence you might start to think think how awfully short the times you are with her compared to the times when you are not. Maybe not. Maybe I shouldn't make assumptions based on my own experiences.

Wah, its really nerve wrecking to have to type in perfect english(Eh, maybe its not perfect but its the best I can come up with hahahaha), so now its back to SINGLISH!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... wah song yu, why you become so full of feelings over here? you describe your thoughts and feelings in great details here yet all i get from you when i ask you about stuff related to her is simply a non chalant one word reply. WAH LAO, what kind of fren is this... WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO WAH LAO!
met her out for dinner yesterday... wanted to past her a present tt i bought back from my trip... seemed like i went there early... she was held back by her boss and could only reach there at 8... she looked beautiful... and hmmm... seemed like she had slimmed down quite some bit... now she looks so miao2 tiao2... well, we had dinner and talked for a short while b4 we left... she still had to visit catherine to pass her some stuff...

haiz... for some reason, i couldn't think of anything to talk to her about... her presence there was enough... think she must have felt weird seeing me literally staring at her quite a few times... or maybe she had become used to it... lol...

Hello! Its been a long time since anyone seen me blogging, cos well, i deleted my blog. HAHAHA... I am back from Egypt, just 2 hours ago. I don't feel like wasting my breathe to talk about my trip, but there's just one thing I feel like saying. That is, the feeling of returning to reality once I arrrived in Singapore. Weird feeling, I dunno if I actually felt happy or unhappy, its like both feelings trying to express themselves at the same time. You could say that an overseas trip, for me at least, is a form of escapism, even thought I didn't intend to make it that way. To people who always complained about my thriftiness, don't worry, I bought souvenirs. YAY!!!

Maybe I'll talk about my trip here after readjusting back to local time. Cos, Egypt is 6 hours behind us.

Btw, Saddam Hussein is captured? I saw the news in Egypt. A man in a cafeteria in Cairo told me that Saddam isn't the real thing. How bout you guys? Now I've got 10 days worth of newspapers to go through.
went to sentosa last fri with brandon... well, the weather in the morning was not tt bad... we took the sentosa bus there... (island admission fee:$2 & sentosa bus fee:$1) after setting foot on the island, we went to search for the nearest monorail station... omg... it's still the same old monorail and the same old tv set... seems like nothing much has changed since i last visited the place (which was like 10 over years ago?)... toured the island hereafter and found tt a large part of the island is undergoing renovation... guess we chose the wrong time to visit sentosa...

b4 i bore u out with my words and to make the whole story short, it would be wise to visit the island only after 2006, after all the renovations have been completed... nothing much has changed there (for the time being)... awww... wth has the authorities been doing in the past 10 over years? slacking? but one saving grace was the musical fountain... it has become much nicer and man... it is a world class performance... but the laser tt they use during the performance can become overwhelming and can get into yr eyes...
i look forward to every sunday's newspaper... they always have these interesting articles... saw this one on JC orientation ragging... the part on the musical chairs seemed familiar... i vaguely recall tt i've taken part in tt game b4... hmmm... disgusting... imagining soiling yrself with soy sauce, tomato ketchup and who-noes-wat... and there's no comfort knowing tt most likely yr mother would be the one cleaning up yr mess at the end of the dae and having to listen to her rattling about the dirt... think it all boils down to the individual's idea of fun... personally i dun think tt tt particular game is 'fun' at all...

oi blandon... can break up yr msgs into more digestible chunks next time a not? lol...
Well well well, so songluck think Singapore girls are more prettier than Jap girls..... Well, i dun think he is totally wrong, but den i also dun think he is totally right either. i think the problem lies with singapore girls is that of course, the fashion sense like what songluck mentioned.... The girls there really look stunningly beautiful... but one bad thing is they are very westernised in their appearance (out of 10 jap gers, 9 has dyed their hair... the hair colour is blonde, if not its copper brown or gold). i applaud for most singaporeans not dying their hair cos seriously speaking, dying spoils how we Asians look... duno why pple have such low self esteem and despise their own looks, thinking that westerns look better... sad case.. (Caution: these words are not meant for those who has this mindset of dying hair for fun) there is one thing i would like to say is that Singaporean girls have a variety of looks which is a good thing.. that means some look like korean, japanese, chinese or thais or whatever asian look.. whereas for jap: all look almost the same to me, very typical japanese girl look.. And one more thing: i hope pple will use their brains more when they want to dress up.. Follow urself not the fashion trend.. If u dun look nice in that dress, forget it... there so many dress that are in fashion and surely some will suit u... If u are still so adamant, i den suggest u go for cosmetic surgery and that is the best i can offer... Haiz... everyone is so mindful of appearances..
Japan, the Land of sushi and sashimi:

yum yum... surpisingly, didn't get to eat any sushi at all during my entire trip... but did get to enjoy it's sashimi... wat can i say... for the best sashimi u got to head down to japan... as for the food tt the japs themselves eat... the average meal in a restaurant cost about 800 yen... the average for tt in a higher-end restaurant is about 1200 yen... mcdonald's over there is relatively cheaper, unlike singapore... the average mc set would cost u 650 yen... dun expect to find a food court easily in japan... in my 30 over days tt i have spent in japan (last year and this), i have only came across 1 food court...

on the food itself, common food items tt u will find is of course sushi, sashimi... u will also find ramen, udon and soba (they are all noodles)... in addition, u also have curry rice... talking about the curry rice, the curry (in just about eveywhere tt i've been to) is suspiciously similar to tt used by mcdonalds... me and brandon came to a conclusion tt there's a conspiracy somewhere...

one important thing to note here (b4 i 4get)... the meals are VERY fufilling (in any sense of the word) ... b4 a meal, u can feel like u can eat a whole cow but after the meal, u can feel like yr stomach is gonna burst... the cream (usually cheese or tomato) or sauce tt they put on yr rice (or noodle) is so thick tt it alone would make yr stomach feel like it can't take in any more things... so it is wise to order 1 meal less when u dine out... tt is to say, 3 meals for 4 persons...
Japan, the Land of chio bu?:

had a discussion with brandon yesterday... told him tt i think singaporean girls are more beautiful (at least for our age group) than jap girls... ahaha... i heard someone just say: huh? is he mad or wat... ... the major problem i think, is tt the girls here need to learn how to better groom themselves...
finally decided to sit down and blog about my trip to japan... think i'll start with an overview of what the country is like b4 i actually talk about the places tt i went to (if i ever get to talk about it)...

P.S. Brandon, feel free to rebut anything which u think is incorrect...

Japan, the Land of Fashion:

well, after seeing the prom/grad nite photos for tjc, i seriously think tt a large portion of the girls (as well as some of the guys) need lessons on how to groom themselves... some of the girls just simply put on too much make up and others just look weird in their costumes... i dun think we can really blame them... they didn't had much oppotunities to dress up so elaborately b4... do they? everyday spent outdoors in japan is a lesson in fashion for me... just about everyone, guys included, put on makeup of some sort... quite a number of the women have fake eyebrows and even more of them wear those high heel boots tt reach up to just below the knee...

well up to now, if anyone thinks tt i had implicitly implied tt i have good fashion sense... well, guess u dun noe me well enough... i dress in watever i feel like dressing in... dun give much damn about what i wear... just be myself ay?

continuing... about the shool uniform... hey brandon, the school uniform for the guys make them look like keanu reeves? omg... not to tt extent... but i must agree tt it is smart looking... as the for the girls, hmmm... now i'm stuck as to wat the appropriate clothing term is... well, think i'll use coat... the coat for the girls is also smart looking and the skirts... think u all sorta noe by now tt they are awfully short... still have not seen one which extends beyond the knee cap... how short? let's just say the average length makes it looks like a mini-skirt...

this brings me to my next point... i think the skirts are rather distasteful... showing off not also the calf but the big thigh as well... well, tt certainly turned me off... yaya, i can hear someone out there calling me a pervert guy... lol... on the other hand, i prefer the skirts tt our school girls wear... they only choose to reveal the calf, which i think (and i think a lot of ppl would agree) is more sexy than the thigh...

Monday, December 15, 2003

stunned... was looking at the tjc grad nite photo (at www.uberture.com) when i came to the last photo... it's a photo of the oac ppl... and there she is... simply gorgeous... and somewhat uncanning, looking like eveyln tan... perhaps the only other time when i have seen her dress up so beautifully was in my dreams where she was wearing a wedding dress... and no... the groom wasn't me... but tt's beside the point... i'm at a loss of words as to what to say now... she's so simply gorgeous...

Sunday, December 14, 2003

Hi guys, i am back from Japan. Okay, i shall start with my tour initinery..a rather brief account in fact...

First day: quite stupid cos my flight from singapore to osaka is considered a day. *fumes* the plane's flight is at midnight, and reaches osaka in the morning at abt 7 plus... bloody hell, could not sleep well the whole night. Why? in the cabin, the space is too cramped, cant stretch my legs.... so my sleep was like in naps...damn it....

Second day: reached osaka, when i stepped out of the plane, a wave of chillness overwhelmed me.... quickly took another shirt from my bag and put it on... feeling groggy cos did not sleep well the night b4... den after taking our hand carry bags , we proceed to the immigration counter and the queue is long. what makes the whole thing worse is that the counter is blooooody sloooooowwwwwwww.... stood there for quite a while like a country bumpkin idiot.. finally, we went to collect out luggage and went to find our tour guide and the rest of the tour group ... the guide is called henry lin, an indonesian chinese.... he is rather humourous... den we set off for universal studio..... WAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! pple mountain pple sea!!! so we queue and sat almost all the rides, quite fun lah, though the weather was cold.... after almost a whole day there, we went out to gather with the rest and the guide brought us to shinsaibashi which is a shopping street for dinner and some free time for shopping... did not buy anything yet but went to visit arcades cos songluck told me it was diff..... well not much difff leh....... after we went shopping, we head straight for the hotel.... the hotel rooms are quite spacy... not bad not bad... haha..... den we had to sleep cos we were so god damn tired and also becos the morning call is 6am which is 5am!!! in singapore time!!!!

3rd Day:went to Nara to visit the Nara Deer park.... i realised that the jap treat the deers with utter respect.... must be some sacred animal according to their culture... den after that, we went to a few temples which i am lazy to name them,.... haha... what a luck day cos we manage to see three geishas(or called art prostitutes)... my mum quickly clicked the camera as if there were unlimited films..... Discovered something: the uniforms of jap boys are quite smart looking... black coat, black pants... waahh, like keanu reeves in the matrix.. as for the gers, nah not like carie-ann moss if u think so. their skirts are uhem.... very short in stark contrast to singapore gers....... reached toyohashi... well that is all for today...

4th day: sat Japan's famous bullet train...... It is so blooooooooddddddddy fast that i started to think abt Bernoulli Effect.. Oh my goodness!! went to the majestic and symbolic Mt Fuji!!!!! Beautiful.... On the way to the mountain, there were a few times we could actually see the mountain unfortunately the clouds were a nuisance... Henry said Fuji is like a shy girl hiding behind the curtains... haha... Finally reached the fifth step of Fuji.... stepped out of the bus and i almost became ice... den went to the shops to warm myself.... guess what i saw... it is extremely lame and corny. They actually had canned Air of Mt Fuji!!!!! what the ....... and it cost a stupid 300 yen.... gosh!!! went to the hotel resort near one of Fuji's biggest lakes... during dinner, we met Singapore volleyball team from St. Hildas Sec... wah, they are really the pride of Singaporeans man!!!!!!! they smacked the jap 5 to kosong!!!!! the hotel is so bloody small.... sianzz.... very jap style, have to sleep on the floor....

5th day: Today's prgram got not much things but rather shopping until my legs wanted to break at its joints!!!!!!! Sianzzzzz

6th day: yeah!!!!! going to disney land!!!!!!! so lucky cos we can get to see the parade by the disney char for the celebration of their 20th anniversary... took quite a lot of rides but not as exciting as universal studio ones..... got one ride called space mountain, an in-door roller coaster was closed... so sad... not really lah actually cos i sat it b4 in bangkok!!!!! haha...... as the skies darken very early, in the end we got lost when we were on our way out..... though we got map, but the lights around were very dim.... so cant figure it out...... well, we were late by half an hour... so paiseh, the rest of the grp had to wait so long for us/ :P

last day: alas! my fingers are a bit numb by now..... nothing much, shopping shopping shopping....... den headed straight for airport..... and PRESTO!!!! back in singapore typing this brief japan tour journal!!

Friday, December 12, 2003

... night time... calmness... silence... i dun noe where to begin... i am not sure what exactly what to type... had 3 dreams on my trip abroad... 3 different dreams and 2 different replies... strange... the feeling towards her... it's slowly coming back... very slowly... tt eagerness to see her in my dreams... tt little joy tt i feel inside of me when she is there beside me in my dreams... not real, but yet so lucid... it's a feeling tt i have felt before and i noe what it is... it's the feeling tt you get when you like someone and you long for tt person's presence... tt feeling of love... but why? why am i having tt feeling? i dun noe... i'm confused... have i not gotten over her yet? have i not told tty time and again tt i only treat her as a good friend? and yet... .........

i had sms-ed her before i left for my trip... told her tt i had liked her before.... before? ... i asked if she had ever liked me before too... whether it had ever been mutual... she didn't reply and still hasn't yet... why am i typing all these stuff? am i trying to show a point? i dun noe... i dun have an answer... maybe... maybe i'm just trying to let someone noe... anyone... noe what i feel... there is this drop of tear in my heart... long is the time tt i have last since cried... what am i sad about? ......... i think i have changed a lot during the last few years... has my heart gone cold... unfeeling towards the pletora of emotions around me... the occasional smile only serves to mask what i feel inside... loneliness... but no... if u think tt i am suicidal... no... at least not at the moment... just sad... and lonely... u noe wat i am talking about... it's not the company of my parents tt i am talking about here...

feel tt these 2 years have generated friendships tt generally have been superficial... didn't really bother to immerse myself in the activities around me... haha... well... it's playing wei2 yi1 on my media player now... quite fitting... the song lyrics... well... suddenly thought about tty... never fail to constantly ask me about my relationship with her... specific questions... but do we always have to have a clear answer to every question? maybe... at least it makes the whole picture clearer... ......... the nite is late... i wonder what i will dream of tonite...
